Caste census and SC categorization: Congress party is committed, says Minister Uttam.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy emphasized the Congress party's commitment to caste census and SC categorization at a PCC meeting. He criticized CM KCR's family for discussing social justice while avoiding participation in the family survey. Reddy highlighted significant achievements in Telangana, including record rice production and over 55,000 job opportunities created in one year. He urged Congress workers to actively promote the party’s work in upcoming elections.

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy spoke at the extended meeting of the PCC organized at Gandhi Bhavan. He explained the importance of programs like "Jai Bhim, Jai Bapu, Jai Constitution," emphasizing that the Congress party is committed to the caste census and SC categorization in the state. He criticized CM KCR's family for talking about social justice despite not participating in the family survey. Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that it was the Congress party that gave freedom and independence to all sections of society.
He accused the BJP government of continuing oppression in the country in all forms. He mentioned that despite performing several development programs in the past year, they had fallen behind in promoting them. Uttam Kumar Reddy highlighted that Telangana has produced the most rice in the country this year. He also mentioned the implementation of several welfare and development programs, urging the party to take these achievements to the public for awareness and promotion.
"In just one year of coming into power, we have provided over 55,000 jobs, supported the unemployed, allowed free travel for women on RTC buses, provided gas cylinders at ₹500, waived farm loans, and ensured farmer welfare payments," Uttam Kumar Reddy said, highlighting the significant work done by the government in the past year. He called for these achievements to be widely publicized at the grassroots level. He urged all workers to raise the Congress flag in every village in the upcoming local body elections and work collectively for it.
