The Intermediate exams in Andhra Pradesh begin today, with strict arrangements at 34 centers. Exams will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM. Mobile phones and electronic devices are prohibited inside the exam centers, and security measures are in place, including Section 144 around the centers. Over 26,000 students are set to appear for the exams, with additional police presence to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct.

Amaravati: The Intermediate exams in Andhra Pradesh will begin on Saturday. Arrangements for conducting the exams have been completed at 34 centers in the district. The exams will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM on the scheduled dates. Students will be allowed entry into the exam centers 30 minutes before the exam starts. The gates will be closed at exactly 9 AM, and no student will be allowed entry if they are even one minute late. A total of 26,161 students, including both General and Vocational students, are set to appear for the exams. Among them, 12,936 are first-year students, and 13,225 are second-year students.
Mobile phones and other electronic devices will not be allowed inside the exam centers. Even the invigilators and other staff at the centers are prohibited from using mobile phones within the exam premises. Only the Chief Superintendent and the Department Officer of the exam center are allowed to use the cell phones provided by the Intermediate Board. SP Tuhin Sinha has instructed officials to ensure that the Intermediate written exams are conducted peacefully. He also issued a statement on Friday regarding the responsibilities of police officers in managing the conduct of these exams.
Strict police security arrangements will be made at all exam centers to ensure that students are not disturbed. Officials and staff will be on high alert from the beginning to the end of the exam. Section 144 will be enforced around the exam centers. Students will not be allowed to bring mobile phones, smartwatches, or other electronic devices inside the exam halls.
