ISRO: SpaceX experiments to resume from March 15.
ISRO Chief V. Narayanan announced that SpaceX experiments will resume from March 15 as part of a special mission to connect satellites in space. He highlighted India's achievement in successfully docking two satellites and revealed plans for further experiments. The mission aims to advance India's capabilities in satellite docking, energy transfer, and space exploration.

New Delhi: ISRO Chief V. Narayanan participated in an event organized on National Science Day. During the event, he stated that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is implementing a special mission to connect satellites in space as part of its space experiments. ISRO has already successfully connected two satellites and is ready to resume these experiments. Narayanan revealed that SpaceX experiments will begin from March 15.
Currently, the satellite is in a geostationary orbit. There will be a favorable window of 10 to 15 days in the next two months to conduct various experiments. ISRO is currently conducting docking and re-docking simulation experiments with satellites. "We have already prepared a plan," said ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan. According to the ISRO Chief, the satellites have enough fuel, and they are planning to conduct more experiments. Also, after two months, they are ready to conduct the third phase of experiments during another favorable time.
After docking and durability experiments, ISRO has planned to conduct experiments related to the transfer of electrical energy between the two satellites. ISRO has taken a significant step in space exploration by launching a mission to connect satellites in space. As part of this, ISRO launched a pair of satellites, named "Chaser" and "Target," into orbit on December 30, 2023. After several attempts, on January 16, the docking process was successfully completed by SpaceX. India became the fourth country to achieve this feat.
